To help us use our time effectively, reflect on how your body feels during various movements. This includes more than just the area of pain. For example, if you experience knee pain when going downhill but also notice that your squats don’t feel symmetrical, this information can be very valuable for guiding our sessions.
Please bring or wear shorts, a T-shirt, or a tank top/bra that leaves your spine accessible. If you’re more comfortable in leggings and a fitted shirt, that’s perfectly fine too
We have 45, 60, and 90-minute appointments available. While 45 minutes is often sufficient, 60-minute appointments allow more time for exercise prescription and movement re-training. Feel free to contact me to discuss which duration best suits your needs.
Due to the complexity of our assessments, 30-minute slots are not ideal for effective evaluation or meaningful treatment. If you have concerns about appointment lengths, please reach out , and we can discuss your needs.
It is recommended to book a minimum of 3 follow-up sessions, spaced about a week apart, after your initial assessment. The first follow-up session should ideally be within 1-7 days of your initial visit. Alternatively, consider booking a longer 90-minute initial assessment to start treatment on the same day. We will adjust the frequency based on your progress and needs.
Absolutely! Our goal is to help you move differently. Exercising within the first 24-48 hours after your session will help reinforce your new movement patterns.
Life happens. We ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible to allow us to schedule another patient in need. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. The first late cancellation or no-show is free, but the second will incur a 50% charge. Subsequent late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full appointment fee.
Not at all. We can use alternative methods, such as manual release, cupping, or other non-needle techniques.
No referral is needed to see a physiotherapist. However, some extended health insurance plans require a doctor’s note for coverage.
Unfortunately, we do not accept Worker’s Compensation Board funding. Please click here to find a physiotherapist.
While we do not see patients within protocol, we are happy to see you out-of-protocol. If you are unsure whether your situation is within or outside of DTPR, please contact us for guidance, or refer to the detailed information here .
We direct bill to most extended health benefits, including Alberta and Medavie Blue Cross, Sun Life, Green Shield, the Co-operators, Empire Life, and all insurers registered through Telus eClaims .

Definitely! Our goal is to help you move better and improve your overall function. Pain is not a requirement for seeking our services.
